Editor and publisher, Nick started the mag back in 1989 and has explored much of the state since. He enjoys his photography and the adventure he finds in favourite places like the Pilbara, desert country and the Southwest.

Another long time contributor, Neil - formerly known as JK Jerome - is a veteran motoring journo who's seen the rise and rise of 4WD technology from the early days of Rover and Subaru experimentation to the sophisticated systems we see today.

Earth mother and cook extraordinaire, Jo can turn a can of beans into a gastronomic tour-de-force and she loves nothing better than doing it at her campsite a long way from the comforts of home.

Anthropologist, geologist and several other 'ists' as well, Peter is a story teller like no other-down-to-earth, dry wit and possessing more anecdotes from a life in the bush than there are roos in the back paddock. You'll hang on his every word.

Nick's better half and a relatively recent convert to 4WD travel, Susie likes nothing better than taking on the biggest dunes in her Ranger or whipping up a roast in the camp oven. She has a wicked sense of humour and a writing style to raise a smile every time.

Ian Elliot is our longest contributor and the person responsible for introducing Nick to the West Aussie bush. A bush historian, Ian has a wonderful knack of bringing the past back to life with wit and extraordinary insight that will drive you to follow in his wheel tracks.

The fish whisperer. This man knows where all the fish live and how best to wrangle them onto your plate. Best of all, most of the fish live somewhere at the end of a 4wd track. Dip a line with JB.

Dedicated bush history buff and remote traveller, Phil prefers trackless desert country to dirt roads. With his famous funnybone and thirst for experience he'll inspire you to take the path less travelled.

We also conduct 4WD Tag Along tours in Western Australia.
